About
Chris Morris is a musician, musical director and educator whose work spans live performance, production and leadership.
As a performer, he has shared the stage with artists including Big Sean, Paloma Faith, Akala and Matt Redman, and has performed alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, appearing at iconic venues such as The Hollywood Bowl, The Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s and Wembley Arena. His work has featured on major international broadcasts, and he serves as Musical Director for The Kingdom Choir, the ensemble globally recognised for its performance at the 2018 Royal Wedding.
Alongside performing, Chris works in music production and artist development. He co-produced The Kingdom Choir’s international album Stand By Me and has contributed to a range of studio and live projects, supporting both established artists and emerging talent with musical direction, songwriting and creative consultancy.
Education has remained a natural part of Chris’ work throughout his career — from workshops and mentoring to classroom teaching and one-to-one development. This commitment to both excellence and encouragement led him and his wife, Sharlene, to co-found Morris Music Academy, creating a space where people of all ages can grow musically with confidence and clarity.
Together, Chris and Sharlene lead initiatives including More Than Drumming, More Than Singing and More Than Audio, each centred on helping individuals and teams grow in confidence, musicality and creative awareness. While each programme has its own focus, they are united by a shared belief: music education should equip people not only with skill, but with understanding, resilience and joy.
